First United Methodist Church Open House

9:00 am – 2:00 pm 

45 N. Washington Street 

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  

Take a tour of our church which was established at this location in 1884. Discover our history and see our displays from our archives from year’s past. Grab a bottle of cold water before you make your way to your next stop. On Tuesday, enjoy coffee with our new pastor Ken Aker from 10 to 11 am.

"Fun" Dog Show

Greencastle Antrim Elementary School Grounds, 500 Leitersburg Street

Sponsor: M&T Bank

Area dogs compete for awards in 10 categories, such as best dressed, best kisser, best trick. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. NO WALK-INS WILL BE REGISTERED THAT DAY. Registration deadline is July 29. Will receive confirmation of registration from Committee. If none received, call 717-375-2425 by August 2. Proof of current rabies vaccination and current license required. If tattooed, must have proof. Must keep dog on leash at all times. Please clean up after your dog. Please bring lawn chairs.

Colonial Williamsburg Weavers

Colonial Williamsburg Weavers will be demonstrating weaving, spinning, and dyeing on the grounds of the Museum. Bathrooms will be available in the Barn. The Museum House will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Artist Studio Open House

Original oil paintings by local and international artists will be available for viewing. A signed print of “Jerome King Playground” will be given away each day to a lucky winner. Artwork by Eliane Ambrose, Fred Tresselt, Deb Kallgren, and Gabriela Kallgren will be on exhibit.

We welcome you to an open house at the Lilian S. Besore Library. You can tour our library facilities and browse archival photos. In our courtyard we will host an interactive story time, face painting, and light refreshments. Join us to celebrate our "friendly library in a friendly town"!

Allison-Antrim Museum Open House

10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with a break for lunch.

Special Exhibits: In the Barn’s North Exhibit Bay: Greencastle-Antrim Civil War Collection. In the Barn’s South Exhibit Bay: The late Katty Grosh’s collection of Old Home Week ribbons and programs will be displayed. Select artifacts from the Ebbert Spring archeological collection. And…a rare 1850’s Plains rifle & Native American painted Buffalo Robe from Joseph Craig’s Collection. In the Irwin Museum House – Phillip Baer’s grand piano and tuxedo.

High Line Train Station Open House

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm 

Greencastle High Line Train Station

  Take a trip back in time and visit the High Line Train Station and learn about the rich railroad heritage of the Greencastle area and the High Line Train Station. 

  Join us at 1 pm for a presentation by Dave McCarney and Gordon Heidelbach on the Chambersburg, Greencastle and Waynesboro Street Railway. 

  Seating is limited so please email highlinetrainstation@gmail.com for reservations. 

  The Station will be open afterwards from 2 - 4 pm for all to tour the Station and grounds. Refreshments available.
