Tour of Antrim Township Bike Ride

Time  TBA

The  bike  ride  starts at the Jerome King Playground at the Omwake pavilion. There are 3 routes..42, 22 & 12 miles in length.  We will have cue sheets and the roads will be marked with blue arrows. We will have a SAG driver and first aid available. We expect to get at least 100+ riders from our club. We invite all Greencastle residents to participate with us during this special ride honoring Antrim Township.  There  is  no charge. The ride is basically the perimeter of Antrim Twp.

Tayamentasachta "Time Capsule"

9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Tayamentasachta's farmhouse, barn, springhouse, garden, and log cabin will be open for visitors to walk through. Wagon rides will be offered (weather permitting) through the walnut plantation and forested trails. Meet in front of the nineteenth century farmhouse on each hour and experience a guided walking tour to learn more about our historical amenities and how they are used today. Tours will last approximately 40 minutes and will take place rain or shine. We are also pulling out old Greencastle High School class pictures for visitors to see!

Award-winnng actress Mary Ann Jung will portray Clara Barton. Journey back in time with America's greatest heroine who faced bullying & bullets to save the lives of others as a Civil War Nurse and Founder of the American Red Cross!

Allison-Antrim Museum Open House

Allison-Antrim Museum House (air conditioned) and the 1860s German Bank Barn (air conditioned with ADA accessible bathrooms), 365 South Ridge Avenue: Open House, self-guided tours. 

Special Exhibits:In the Barn’s South Exhibit Bay: The late Katty Grosh’s collection of Old Home Week ribbons and programs will be displayed. Select artifacts from the Ebbert Spring archeological collection. And…a special collection of Nelson “Nellie” Fox memorabilia. In the Irwin Museum House – Phillip Baer’s grand piano and tuxedo.

2:00 pm - Ted Alexander speaks on “Antrim’s, Greencastle’s, & Other Franklin County Boys in Blue during the Civil War” in the Barn.
