Grand Opening of the Ebbert Spring Archaeological Preserve and Heritage Park

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Come see the spring house featured on this year's badge! Join us for the grand opening of the Ebbert Spring Archaeological Preserve and Heritage Park and learn about the archaeology, history, and ecology of Ebbert Spring, which pumps over 600 gallons of water a minute and continues to supplement the local water supply. An effort to protect this property lead by the Archaeological Conservancy in partnership with the Allison-Antrim Museum, Antrim Township, and the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources ensures that this land will be protected forever. Please come learn about the site and celebrate with a ribbon cutting. We will have historical reenactors, Native American artifacts excavated from the property, and walking trails lined with informative signs to explore. You will also have the opportunity to walk through part of the original Allison house, built in the mid-1700s. Antietam Dairy will be on site with their ice cream truck. This event has something for everyone! Please bring you own chair if you would like to sit. 12633 Molly Pitcher Highway, Greencastle
